Hi I’m Ron.
I offer over fifteen years of diverse experience in the technology field working specifically on the Mac platform. My primary focus is on using MDM solutions such as JAMF and Workspace One to provide reliable, consistent, secure Mac systems to my clients.
Currently, I am a consultant with the New York City Office of Innovation & Technology: Apple Support Operations. A few of the projects I manage are the migration of their MDM from Jamf to Workspace One and a collaboration with the NYC Cyber team to roll out our Crowdstrike and McAfee updates. My main duties are creating zero-touch solutions with Workspace One for macOS upgrades, and application updates and providing desktop support for the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, Cyber Security Team, Office of Technology and Innovation, and City Hall.
For over ten years as senior systems administrator/director of technology, I have provided user support and managed the design studio for students, faculty, and staff at the School of Visual Arts. My daily tasks included troubleshooting and client issue resolution, maintaining workstations and A/V equipment, software deployment with Jamf and server management on Mac OS, iOS, and Windows Fiery servers. I managed SaaS accounts like Google Workspace, Adobe Creative Cloud, and websites on WordPress, maintaining our email marketing database, and social media outreach. Additionally, I taught many workshops in the fields of video production, editing, web design, and 3D printing.
As Help Desk Manager at OWN Charter School, I managed the help desk team and created tech policies for over 500 users including students, staff, and faculty. Additionally, my tasks include training technicians on our in-class and boardroom AV equipment, deploying software with JAMF to our fleet of laptops and mobile devices, and solving network and printer connectivity issues. I was responsible for keeping the website running and updated with content. In addition to my problem-solving and user care, I took the lead in on-boarding and off-boarding employees leveraging Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Jamf, and Apple School Manager.
My ideal role would be working with a team that takes pride in what they do and always tries to find a way to improve a process.
